Alternative Energy Projects Co. has signed an agreement with J2 United General Contracting to develop a solar photovoltaic system at Jaber Mall in Jaber Al-Ahmad City. Announced on May 13, 2025, the agreement was signed during Kuwait Sustainable Energy Week.

The planned installation has a capacity of 3.82 MWp and will occupy the mall's carports. Jaber Mall is a mixed-use development covering more than 148,000 square metres. The solar system is expected to offset 81,646 metric tonnes of CO₂ over the contract period.
